Had enough of summer nights, filled with music, dancing and singing? Enough of all the sun, the hot days, the heat, the beaches and the occasional sweat drops?

Autumn, the well-known season to be jolly, offers us the chance to become the serious, responsible and caring person you might have ignored being over these last few months.

What’s a better opportunity to slide into this new responsible mindset than by doing a bit of work for your community and sending off the summer in the cleanest possible manner?

As part of Tagesspiegel's initiative Gemeinsame Sache, Plan A is organising a cleanup of Böcklerpark, a major centre of Berlin’s summer life with its willows and Spreeside banks.

The park is in our favourite Kreuzberg and is located on the river Spree, inviting barbecue goers, singers, skaters, bikers, adults, teenagers, kids, joggers and a bunch of dogs. What a crowd!

Here are the details:

Location: Böcklerpark, Kreuzberg
Date & Time: Saturday, 8th September - 14:00 - 18:00

HOW DOES IT WORK
We will meet all at 2pm inside the park for registration. Look out for Plan A signs. At the registration table you will be able to decide which of the 4 teams you want to take part on.

Each team will be fighting a particular brand of evil and team up with other teams to deep clean their area.

Team paper
Team cigarette butts
Team bottle caps

Once the registration is done, you will be given safety instructions and cleaning gear for you to do a maximum amount of good in the shortest amount of time.

Am Samstag, 8. September, versammelten sich 100 Menschen um den Böcklerpark in Kreuzberg zu säubern. Der Organisator der Veranstaltung war Plan A, die erste Crowdfunding-Plattform im Kampf gegen den Klimawandel. Das Unternehmen organisiert oft solche Veranstaltungen in Berlin, in der Bemühung der Menschen mit den Problemen der Umweltverschmutzung zu engagieren.
